“Lady Eagles Volleyball Victorious, Boys Soccer Falls Short in Close Match”

The Eagle Ridge volleyball and boys soccer teams were both in action last night against Crosspoint Christian. It was a night of mixed results for our Eagles squads.

In an impressive performance, our Lady Eagles volleyball team swept Crosspoint Christian 3-0. They won by scores of 25-6, 25-7, and 25-10 in the match. The Eagles dominated from start to finish, playing stellar defense and unleashing powerful kills.

“I’m so proud of how our girls executed our gameplan tonight,” said volleyball coach Kristen Martin. “They stayed focused and aggressive to finish off the sweep.”

The Eagles boys soccer team battled but came up just short in a tight match against Crosspoint, losing 3-2. The game was tied 1-1 at halftime. Unfortunately, a late penalty kick with only a few minutes remaining gave Crosspoint the 3-2 victory.

“It was a really evenly matched game that could have gone either way,” said by the coaching staff. “We’ll learn from it and come back stronger next time.”

While the boys were disappointed with the loss, both Eagle Ridge teams displayed grit and determination last night. Our volleyball squad is now 3-0, and soccer is hungry for redemption in their next matchup this Friday against Heritage Classical Christian.

The Eagles head into the rest of the season with momentum and motivation. Let’s keep cheering them on!
